Under natural daylight, Steel reads as a cool, clean mid-gray — no blue or green undertone, no warmth. It's the kind of gray that stays consistent regardless of the time of day or weather outside. Under warm artificial lighting (incandescent or warm-white LED), it may pick up a very slight warmth and appear marginally softer. Under cool-white or daylight-balanced LEDs, it stays as the cool neutral it is. In general, Steel is one of the easier grays to work with — it doesn't swing dramatically between warm and cool as lighting changes.
