The Softlight is 100% polyester (filament + spun) at 189 GSM - heavier, less transparent, with a smoother surface and stronger glare reduction. If you want the warm color in a true sheer for maximum daylight, choose Classic. If you want the same color with real daytime privacy and meaningful glare control, choose Softlight.

In rooms with cool grays, soft blues, or crisp whites, Daisy adds just enough warmth at the window to keep the space from feeling clinical without disrupting the palette. If the room is heavily cool-toned and you want a true cool-side white, Snow Softlight or Metal Softlight would be a closer temperature match. But in mixed or transitional palettes, Daisy is often the unifying note.

Yes - all four headings (Grommet/Eyelet, Tab Top, Rod Pocket, Sleeve Top) are machine washable at 40°C with the Softlight fabric. Grommets are metal rings (powder-coated for color match) and survive normal wash cycles without issue. Tab Top has fabric loops that wash easily. Rod Pocket and Sleeve Top are sewn channels with no hardware. After washing, remove while still slightly damp and rehang to let the panel dry in place - this minimizes creasing and avoids needing to iron.

With normal use and proper care, expect many years of service. The polyester construction has excellent durability and good UV stability - it doesn't break down or fade quickly under direct sun the way some natural-fiber blends can. Near-zero shrinkage means the custom drop stays accurate through repeated washing. The Easy Clean and Stain Resistant treatments do gradually diminish over many wash cycles (years of regular washing), but the underlying fabric integrity remains. If you treat the panels like normal household textiles, they'll outlast most other household soft furnishings.

Layer Daisy Softlight in front of a blockout curtain - this is the standard professional solution and gives you the best of both. During the day, the Softlight provides warm filtered light, daytime privacy, and glare reduction. At night, draw the blockout for complete darkness and total privacy. Use either a double-track system (recommended for a clean look) or two parallel rods. For Daisy, warm-tone blockouts work best - cream, taupe, deep camel, or warm charcoal. The two layers also provide better thermal insulation in winter and better solar heat control in summer.
