It depends on which heading style you choose. Grommet and Tab Top create evenly spaced, open folds that leave most of the fabric face exposed — the 11.9 × 16.6 cm grid reads clearly on the flat sections between folds. Rod Pocket gathers more tightly, and in those denser folds, the grid compresses and becomes less defined. In Mica specifically, the grid contrast is subtle enough that gathered sections read as clean grey rather than a disrupted or busy texture. If showing the Concert weave is a priority, Grommet is the better heading choice for this fabric.
