Description

Beaver is the warm brown that grounds a room the way a leather armchair grounds a study — solid, considered, and quietly confident.

This is the brown of weathered timber, of well-loved suede, of the soil after rain. It sits between earth and chocolate without leaning fully into either, which is what makes it work across so many homes. The 296 GSM Eco-Woven Ultra Plus weave brings the color into a fabric with real heft — heavy enough to fall in long, even folds and stay where it lands. With 60% recycled spun fiber and 72,500 Martindale rubs, the curtain is built to wash, wear, and outlast trend cycles. Made to your exact drop and panel count, finished with the top type you've chosen.

The Caspian Plains Ultra Plus collection accommodates:

• Living rooms, studies, dens, and family rooms

• Bedrooms with warm timber furniture or neutral palettes

• Traditional, transitional, mid-century, and rustic interiors

• Floor-to-ceiling drops and standard-length windows

• Single, double, or multi-panel configurations

• Rooms with brass, bronze, or warm-toned hardware

• Homes layering natural materials — leather, linen, wool, wood

Fabric Information

The Ultra Plus weave used for Beaver is a heavyweight plain construction made from 25% Polyester Filament, 15% Recycled Polyester, and 60% Recycled Spun fiber — a deliberate blend that puts 75% recycled content into the fabric while keeping the surface even, the weight substantial, and the drape full.

At 296 GSM the fabric has enough mass to filter light without blocking it entirely, and the 310 cm panel width gives you a single uninterrupted face across most residential windows. Beaver itself is dyed deep into the spun fiber, which is what allows the no-color-bleeding and colorfast claims to hold up across repeated machine washes at 40°C.

With 72,500 Martindale rubs the fabric is rated for hard residential use, and the near-zero shrinkage construction means your custom-cut measurements stay accurate over the curtain's life. Flame retardant, simple to care for, and made-to-measure — drop, panel count, and top style finished to your exact specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because it occupies the
middle ground between earth-brown and chocolate without committing fully to
either. That balance lets it sit comfortably next to mid-century walnut,
traditional mahogany, rustic pine, and modern oak alike. It's a brown that
reads as 'considered' rather than 'trendy,' which is what keeps it relevant
across decor cycles.

Buff and Flax are pale
neutrals — they lighten a window and recede into the wall. Beaver is the
opposite. It saturates, anchors, and defines. If you want curtains that visibly
frame the window and add presence to the room, Beaver does that. If you want curtains
that disappear, choose Buff.

Walnut, oak, leather
(cognac and chestnut especially), brass hardware, cream walls, sage and olive
accents, and natural materials like linen, wool, and jute. Beaver also works
against deep teal or forest green wall colors for a richer, more layered look.

It's actually
well-suited to north-facing rooms. North light has a cool blue cast that can
leave neutral spaces feeling chilly. Beaver's warmth corrects that without
going saccharine — it makes a north-facing living room or bedroom feel
inhabited instead of clinical.

No. The recycled spun
fiber used in the Ultra Plus weave is processed to the same standard as virgin
spun yarn — same hand, same color depth, same wash performance. The recycled
content is structural, not cosmetic. You don't see or feel the difference from
a curtain made of virgin fiber.

Each panel is 310 cm
wide — wider than most standard residential curtain fabrics. For most windows
under 3 meters, a single panel per side covers the drop without joins. For very
wide installations (over 6 meters of total coverage), we manufacture multi-panel
sets that meet at the rings rather than a seamed mid-panel.

Brown is one of the
harder colors to render accurately on screens, which read slightly cooler than
reality. In person, Beaver is warmer and more red-leaning than most monitors
show. If the screen swatch looks borderline cool to you, expect the real fabric
to be one shade warmer.

All four top styles
work, but Grommet and Tab Top hang particularly well at 296 GSM because the
metal grommet or fabric tab holds the heavy fabric in evenly spaced folds. Rod
Pocket gives a soft gathered top; Sleeve Top is the cleanest and most contemporary.
Choose based on the look you want — the fabric weight supports any of them.

The colorfast rating
means it holds significantly better than budget curtains, but no fabric is
immune to UV exposure over the years. For south-facing or west-facing windows
with strong afternoon sun, the practical lifespan before any visible shift is
5-7 years of normal use. Closing the curtain during peak hours, or pairing with
a sheer or blackout layer, extends that further.
