Your floor cushion thickness depends on its usage. Always prefer a 4 to 6 inches of thickness for a common general comfort.  For play areas or low tables, go for 3 to 4 inches. When using for lounging or as guest beds, as large or huge floor cushions, opt for 8+ inches for extra support while sleeping or lounging.
