While our outdoor cushions are built to face the worst of weather conditions, from scorching sun to torrential rain, we still recommend taking certain precautions to ensure a longer life and sustained beauty of your cushions:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh climates, including direct sunlight, heavy rain, moisture and snow.
  • Use protective covers when not in use, especially during inclement weather.
  • Regularly check and clean your cushions to prevent dirt accumulation and potential damage.
  • Routine cleaning (Follow fabric care instructions)
  • Fabric Care: Always follow the specific care guidelines provided with each fabric description. Even outdoor fabrics benefit from occasional gentle cleaning to maintain their vibrant colors and texture.
  • Air out your cushions
  • Always follow the specific care guidelines provided with each fabric description.

Fabrics:

Your cushion's fabric plays a pivotal role in its aesthetics and durability. To maintain its luster and longevity:

  • Always follow the specific care guidelines provided with each fabric description.
  • Ensure you adhere to wash-care instructions to prevent any damage during cleaning.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes on the fabric.

Foams:

The foam inside your cushion determines its comfort and resilience. Here's how you can take care of them:

General Instructions:

  • Rotate and fluff cushions regularly to maintain their shape.
  • Keep away from sharp objects to prevent tears or punctures.
  • Vacuuming the surface occasionally can help in removing dust and allergens.

Depending on the foam:

High-Density (HD) Foam: Periodically air out in the sun to prevent dampness and protect against mold and mildew.

Dry-Fast Foam: Similar to HD, ensure it's aired out occasionally to avoid moisture retention and mold growth. While it resists water absorption, shaking off excess water after a heavy downpour can speed up the drying process.

Fiber Fill: Ensure even distribution by fluffing regularly and avoid direct exposure to water. If it gets wet, lay it flat in a well-ventilated area to dry. Avoid direct exposure to water and consider using a water-resistant cover for added protection.

Zippers:

To ensure their smooth operation:

  • Always close or cover zippers before washing to prevent entanglement or damage.
  • Handle with care to avoid jamming or breaking.
  • If a zipper becomes stuck, gently wiggle it free instead of forcing it.
  • Avoid overstuffing the cushion, as this can strain the zipper and make it difficult to close.
  • Periodically check the zipper's teeth for any debris or fabric that might hinder its movement.
  • Consider using a silicone spray or wax (sparingly) if the zipper becomes tough to slide. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
